Youtube Circumvention Policy
YouTube’s Circumvention Policy is part of its broader Platform Integrity & Abuse rules.
It prohibits creators or users from bypassing, evading, or helping others bypass YouTube’s safeguards, restrictions, or enforcement systems.
- What “Circumvention” Means on YouTube
Circumvention refers to any attempt to get around YouTube’s rules, systems, or penalties, either for yourself or for others.
- What YouTube Does NOT Allow
1. Evading Enforcement
You may not:
- Create new channels after one is terminated or suspended
- Use alternate accounts to upload content that was previously removed
- Transfer content to another channel to avoid a strike or ban
2. Bypassing Content Restrictions
You may not:
- Upload content designed to bypass Content ID, copyright detection, or age restrictions
- Slightly modify copyrighted material (e.g., pitch change, cropping, mirroring) to avoid detection
- Share methods or tools to defeat YouTube’s moderation systems
3. Circumventing Features or Safeguards
You may not:
- Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to:
- Artificially inflate views, likes, comments, or subscribers
- Avoid spam detection systems
- Manipulate algorithms or reporting mechanisms
4. Helping Others Circumvent YouTube
You may not:
- Post tutorials, links, or instructions explaining how to evade:
- Copyright enforcement
- Monetization reviews
- Community Guidelines enforcement
- Geographic or age-based restrictions
- What Is Allowed

- Using multiple channels
- Educational discussion about policies
- Consequences of Circumvention
Violations may result in:
- Video removals
- Channel strikes
- Channel termination
- Permanent ban from creating new channels
- Loss of monetization eligibility
